15 petrol bombing in three days...How the Coimbatore coping with this gripping situation?

Due to the arrest of a PFI organization member, petrol bombs have been thrown at the homes of BJP district secretaries Ponraj, Siva, and Saravanan from the Hindu Front. The petrol bombing began on Thursday night and culminated in 15 coordinated bomb blasts. In response to this disturbing situation, 4000 police officers have been sent to Coimbatore alone.

On Thursday night, miscreants attacked the Bharatiya Janata Party office in Chittaputur, Coimbatore, and a clothing store on Oppanakkara Road with petrol bombs before fleeing with two government buses and pelting party members' cars with stones, also the residence of BJP leader Sivakumar in Pollachi was attacked on Friday morning, as per reports.

In the last three days in Tamil Nadu, 15 such incidents of petrol bombings have occurred. Of these, 5 incidents have occurred in Coimbatore alone, which leads to deploying 4000 policemen in the city. In that, 1700 policemen have been brought to Coimbatore from outlying districts. Apart from Coimbatore, petrol bombs have also been thrown at the houses of BJP leaders in Dindigul, Ramanathapuram, and Sathyamangalam.

Treating the situation seriously, the Railway Police is conducting a search duty on the venue, including the passengers' possessions at Chennai Central Railway Station. Also in order to discuss the violent incidents in Coimbatore, the police officers there participated in a video conference with Chief Secretary Iraiyanbu, Tamil Nadu Home Secretary Panindara Reddy, and DGP Sailendrababu, and a meeting is being held today regarding Coimbatore's law and order security under the direction of District Collector Dr. G.S.Sameeran. Participants in this consultation included District Police Inspector Badri Narayanan, Municipal Police Commissioner Balakrishnan, and Coimbatore West Zone IG Sudhakar.
