49-year-old man kills his wife who tested COVID-19 positive and commits suicide!

In a shocking development, a 49-year-old man in Patna, Bihar had murdered his wife who had tested positive for the COVID-19 viral infection and later committed suicide. His wife was under home isolation during which he had killed her before committing suicide. 

The police department has been probing the matter and investigating the motive behind the murder. According to reports, the man has been identified as Atul Lal and he worked at the Patna Railway station. The police say that Lal had murdered his wife with a sharp object at their residence in Patna.

His wife Tulika Devi (44) has tested positive for the COVID-19 pandemic and she was under home isolation. The incident had happened on Monday and after murdering his wife, Lal had committed suicide by jumping from the top of his multi-storeyed residence. The incident had shocked the neighbours and the police were informed about the incident. 

The police had launched the probe and the motive for Lal's actions in unknown. The law enforcement officials had sent their bodies to the Patna Medical College and Hospital for an autopsy and Patrakaar Nagar police station's SHO Ravi Dutt said that further investigation is launched into the matter. 

While the reason behind the murder is unknown, some of Lal's neighbours had said that the couple were not on good terms and used to fight frequently at home. While Lal was a railway employee working in the Patna Railway station, his wife Tulika Devi was working in a private organization in Patna.
