The internet is abuzz with rumours that Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan is all set to make his Tamil debut in Thalapathy Vijay’s next film. The speculation started after Aishwarya Kalpathi, the producer of AGS Productions, posted a photo of her meeting Aamir Khan on her Instagram page. She captioned the photo as “Can’t believe I got to meet one of the greatest actors of our time” with the hashtag #workfiles."
Many fans wondered if this was a hint that Aamir Khan and Mohan Raja are collaborating for Thani Oruvan 2, and he will be the main antagonist of the film, as the film will be backed by the same home banner. Some even suggested that Aamir Khan might play the villain in Vijay’s upcoming film, tentatively titled Thalapathy 68, which will be directed by Venkat Prabhu. However, the truth is far from these rumours.
According to sources, Aishwarya Kalpathi of AGS Productions met Aamir Khan as part of a business meeting, and was in Mumbai to explore some opportunities with Aamir Khan’s production house. There is no official confirmation or announcement about Aamir Khan’s involvement in Vijay’s next film.
Aamir Khan lastly seen in Laal Singh Chaddha, which is a remake of the Hollywood classic Forrest Gump. The film also stars Kareena Kapoor Khan and Mona Singh and is slated to release on Christmas 2023. Vijay, on the other hand, is awaiting the release of his much-anticipated film Leo, which is directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj and co-stars Vijay SethupathiTrisha, Sanjay Dutt, Arjun Sarja, Mysskin, Gautham Vasudev Menon, and others. The film to hit the screens in October 19th.
