Actor Ajith extends his wishes to Edappadi Palaniswami on becoming ADMK's General Secretary!

Ace Kollywood actor Ajith Kumar has extended his wishes to former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Edappadi Palaniswami for becoming ADMK's General Secretary. The conversation between the two has happened when senior ADMK leaders went to the actor's residence in Chennai to express their condolences to him for the demise of his father. 

Ajith's father P S Mani has passed away in the wee hours of last Friday - March 24 at the age of 85. Mani was suffering from a prolonged illness and the actor's family announced that Mani breathed his last in his sleep. The last rites of Ajith's father was held in the same day and the mortal remain was cremated in Besant Nagar. 

Ajith and his family members were surfaced with condolences that poured in from across and beyond the borders. From Tamil Nadu Minister Udhayanidhi Stalin to actor Vijay, a league of prominent people visited Ajith's residence in Injambakkam, Chennai and flanked him and the bereaving family. Several political leaders including Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin, DMDK's Vijayakanth, and VCK's Thirumavalavan had extended their condolences to Ajith.

Among the political leaders was ADMK's Edappadi Palaniswami, who, before becoming the party's general secretary, took to Twitter and consoled the actor over the loss of his father. Earlier this week, Palaniswami has taken charge as ADMK's General Secretary, the party's apex role, by defeating his rival O Panneerselvam. 

Amidst bustling political activities around ADMK, two ADMK leaders and former ministers Kadambur Raju and C Vijayabaskar, who are in Palaniswami's camp, met Ajith on Wednesday at his residence to express condolences on behalf of ADMK. During their visit, one of them dialled to Palaniswami during which the latter spoke directly with Ajith. During their conversation, Palaniswami shared his condolences to the actor and then, Ajith extended his wishes to Palaniswami on becoming ADMK's general secretary.
