Actor Suriya gives big surprise for his fans...Check what he did to help his fans affected by lockdown!

In what has become a much-needed measure to alleviate the financial burdens of his ardent fans, actor Suriya has extended his helping hand to them by making a donation to some of the most financially struggling members of his fan community.  

In a noble fashion addressing and taking part in their pain, Suriya has donated Rs 12.5 lakhs to 250 members of his fan club. The actor has donated Rs 5000 each to 250 members and the amount has been directly credited to their bank accounts. According to reports, Suriya has asked the representatives of his fan club to find out the financially struggling members in the club. 

The representatives had identified 250 members and Suriya had donated Rs 5000 each to 250 members to their bank accounts. The reports say that the donation was made through Suriya's production house. The actor was silently carrying out the measure to help the fans in the lockdown and his donation has come to light when some of the members had taken to social media and shared that the actor had given a donation to the fans, which was indeed a big surprise for them. 

Several fans and people had commended Suriya for his gesture of addressing the pain endured by his fans during the lockdown. Suriya has become one of the actors in Kollywood coming forward and donating money to address the distress of society and disastrous events. Suriya has also been running Agaram Foundation with the aim of providing education to the downtrodden and marginalized students in the state. 

Recently, Suriya and his brother actor Karthi had donated Rs 1 crore to the Tamil Nadu Chief Minister's Public Relief Fund to help the state government's fight in beating the COVID-19 pandemic. He had handed over the cheque to Chief Minister MK Stalin after the latter had requested the people to donate to the relief fund and support the government's efforts to combat the pandemic and enhance the medical infrastructure in the state.

On the work front, Suriya was lastly seen in the blockbuster hit 'Soorarai Pottru' that was released in November 2020 on Amazon Prime. The actor has completed around 30% of the shoot for his upcoming movie with director Pandiaraj. Suriya is also playing the lead in Gautham Menon's portions in the anthology 'Navarasa', which is slated to be released on Netflix. Suriya is expected to start shooting for 'Vaadi Vasal' directed by Vetrimaaran by the end of this year or early next year.
