An ADMK functionary in Chennai files a cheating complaint against a former ADMK Minister!

An ADMK functionary based in Chennai has lodged a cheating complaint against former ADMK Minister and sitting MLA Natham Viswanathan in which the former has alleged that the latter had cheated him a tune of Rs 27 lakhs. The complaint has the similarity to the charges levelled against another former ADMK Minister - Rajenthra Bhalaji, who was apprehended later.

ADMK functionary GK Kandasamy is a New Washermenpet, Chennai. He has been serving as the treasurer of ADMK's north Chennai fishermen wing. He has now filed a complaint against Natham Viswanathan, who served as the Tamil Nadu Minister of Electricity during the Jayalalithaa reign. Kandasamy has moved his complaint to the Chennai Police Commissioner and has sought stringent action against the former minister.

In his complaint, Kandasamy has alleged that Viswanathan, during his ministerial tenure, has promised jobs in his department and he used Kandasamy as a bridge to collect money from several people who want jobs in the electricity department. Based on the assurance from the minister himself, Kandasamy has started collecting money from the people with a confirmed offer of a government job.

In his complaint, Kandasamy has further alleged that he had collected Rs 27 lakh in total from six people with the promise from the minister. However, he later realized that the minister didn't keep his promise as the six people weren't offered the government jobs nor did they get their money back. Eventually, the people who had given money to Kandasamy started pressuring him to give their money back.

The reports say that former minister Natham Viswanathan didn't respond to Kandasamy and the latter was pushed to meet the people who had lost their money. Amid the pressure from the people who gave the money, Kandasamy has now approached the Chennai Police Commissioner and lodged a complaint against Viswanathan for cheating the money with the fake job promises.

Kandasamy has pleaded to the Police Commissioner to slap legal charges on Viswanathan and to recover the money from the former minister. It must be noted that during the late last year, a similar job fraud complaint was filed against Rajenthra Bhalaji, who served as a minister in the previous ADMK regime. Bhalaji's close associate has filed a complaint against the former minister alleging that he had received lakhs of money from several people based on his job promises.

However, no jobs were awarded as per the promise and former minister Bhalaji has cheated over crores of money. Following the complaint, Bhalaji had absconded and special police teams were formed to arrest him. After weeks of search, the police had arrested Bhalaji in Karnataka earlier this year and he was later released on bail. Within months, former ADMK Minister Natham Viswanathan has now been caught in trouble as he may face legal action anytime from now.
