ADMK leader O Panneerselvam predicts DMK's rule is nearing its end: Here's why!

Amid the intra-party political crisis and the back to back debacles, ADMK leadership has made a prediction that the MK Stalin administration in Tamil Nadu won't complete its five-year tenure and that the state will go for the assembly polls along with the 2024 Lok Sabha polls. Slamming the ten-month-old DMK regime, ADMK Coordinator O Panneerselvam has made what seems to be a miraging prediction during the campaign for the upcoming urban local body polls.

While addressing the ADMK's campaign meet at Trichy on Friday- February 11, Panneerselvam said that the ruling-DMK did not fulfil any promise in its 10-month old administration. He asked, "Stalin promised his first sign would be for NEET exemption, did that happen?" He further said that the ADMK has ruled the state more than the DMK because of the people-centric policies of MGR and Jayalalithaa.

Hitting out at the DMK for its fake promises, the ADMK leader, who still suffers to have full control over the party, has claimed that the ADMK was poised to win the assembly polls for the third consecutive time in 2021. However, according to Panneerselvam, DMK has turned the polls towards it by making false promises.

He asked, "Of the 505 promises guaranteed, did the DMK complete any of those?". Panneerselvam has further said that the upcoming urban local body election is the right time to teach DMK a lesson. He had instructed the party cadres to take the welfare schemes implemented under ADMK and DMK's failures to the people to ensure that the party wins at local bodies.

He put out his prediction that the DMK's rule is nearing its end. By expressing hope to witness the premature end of the DMK's tenure, Panneerselvam has claimed that Tamil Nadu will go for the assembly polls along with the 2024 Lok Sabha polls. He further said that the situation is very conducive for ADMK in Tamil Nadu and his statement has come when the ADMK is apparently faltering in the state with a rampant political and leadership crisis. The urban local body polls will be held on February 19 and the votes will be counted two days later during which the winners will be announced.
