After Golden Globes... Rajamouli's RRR adds another proud for India at Critics Choice Awards...

For his stirring work on the song "Naatu Naatu" from the film RRR, composer MM Keeravani has just been awarded India's first Golden Globe. Not long after taking home a Golden Globe, SS Rajamouli's directorial effort receives additional recognition with two wins at the 28th Critics' Choice Movie Awards.

On Monday, the 28th annual Critics' Choice Awards were presented. Naatu Naatu earned RRR two awards: Best Foreign Language Film and Best Song. Los Angeles' Fairmont Century Plaza was the site of an awards ceremony, and the night belonged to the period drama starring Jr NTR and Ram Charan. Taking to l Twitter, the official handle of Critics Choice Awards wrote, "Congratulations to the cast and crew of @RRRMovie - winners of the #criticschoice Award for Best Foreign Language Film."

'All Quiet on the Western Front', 'Argentina 1985', 'Bardo', 'False Chronicle of a Handful of Truths', 'Close' and 'Decision to Leave' were the films stood along with RRR in the list, and Best Director, Best Picture, and Best Visual Effects nominations were also submitted for RRR. As of this writing, the epic drama has earned over Rs 1200 crore worldwide and is still breaking attendance records in Japanese theatres.

Released on March 22, 2022 the film also  won the Best Director award from the New York Film Critics Circle (NYFCC). RRR, a fictional story based on the lives of Telugu freedom fighters Alluri Seetharama Raju and Komaram Bheem, starring Jr NTR, Ram Charan, Alia Bhatt, Ajay Devgan, and Shriya Saran, in the crucial leads. Composed by MM Keeravani, the musician also bagged the Golden Globe for 'Naatu Naatu' under Best Original Song Category at Golden Globes 2023 recently.
