After his London tour, TN BJP chief Annamalai gears up for another foreign visit: Here's where and why!

Tamil Nadu BJP president Annamalai is all set to embark on another foreign trip, weeks after visiting London. The former IPS officer-turned-politician will be visiting South Africa and his visit would come as a part of the party's delegation to the BRICS political summit that will be held in Johannesburg from July 18 to 20.

Annamalai is part of a four-member delegation of the BJP that will be travelling to South Africa. Other three members are Vinusha Reddy - member of BJP state committee in Andhra Pradesh, Pushkar Misra - member of BJP state committee in Gujarat, and Satyen Kulabkar - the BJP media in-charge for central Gujarat. The delegation had met BJP national president JP Nadda on Thursday - July 13 during which they sought his guidance and wishes for their visit.

The BRICS (Brazil, Russia, India, China, and South Africa) political parties plus dialogue summit in South Africa will see the participation of around fifty political parties from many countries, including those that are part of the BRICS. The political summit will take place ahead of the BRICS summit, which will also be hosted by South Africa in August.

The BRICS political parties plus dialogue summit will be hosted by the African National Congress (ANC), which played a major role in South Africa's freedom struggle. Taking to Twitter, Annamalai wrote, "It is always pleasure to meet & interact with BJP National President JP Nadda. Along with Thiru Satyen Gulabkar, Smt Vinusha Reddy, Thiru Pushkar Misra, the 4 member delegation nominated by our party to attend the BRICS Political Parties Plus Dialogue Summit in South Africa next week, met our National President to seek his invaluable guidance today."

"The African National Congress, the ruling party in South Africa, is hosting the BRICS Political Parties Plus Dialogue Summit & has invited members of political parties from BRICS Nations in Johannesburg to deliberate issues of mutual interest to strengthen BRICS", Annamalai added.

It is pertinent to note that after wrapping up his South Africa visit, Annamalai will be launching his yatra 'En Mann En Makkal' (My Land My People) in Tamil Nadu on July 28. The yatra, which will be inaugurated by Union Home Minister Amit Shah, will begin from Rameswaram.
