Ajith's 'Naanga Vera Maari' sets a 'WOW' milestone: Boney Kapoor reveals...Happy news for Thala fans!

Pouring more relish to the ardent fans of Thala Ajith, Boney Kapoor has on Tuesday shared a big update about Ajith's upcoming movie 'Valimai'. The update, that has come amid the predictions that the movie will be released during Diwali, has garnered massive reception as the update has been touted to have set a 'WOW' milestone. Yes, the first single from Valimai 'Naanga Vera Maari' has been unstoppable and setting the internet on fire.

Naanga Vera Maari would be the opening song of the movie and it was released last month on the occasion of Ajith's 30 years in cinema. The fans, who were desperate for the movie update, had showered their excitement for the song as it has been loved by them. With their overwhelming love and anticipation for the movie, the song has been adding more feats to its store. On Tuesday, Valimai producer Boney Kapoor took to social media and revealed that Naanga Vera Maari has hit 25 million views on YouTube, which is a remarkable feat to any Ajith song in recent years. 

Boney Kapoor wrote, "UNSTOPPABLE #NaangaVeraMaari hits 25 MILLION VIEWS!". According to reports in the know, while the song has garnered 25 million views, it has also got 1.3 million likes and counting. Naanga Vera Maari was tuned and sung by Yuvan Shankar Raja and is written by Vignesh Shivan. The final schedule of Valimai was recently wrapped up in Russia, where Ajith had toured a bike ride. The final production work has been in progress as the movie team is mulling to release Valimai during this Diwali. 

Valimai has been touted as an action thriller film. Bankrolled by Boney Kapoor under the banner of Bayview Projects, Valimai is directed by H Vinoth. While Ajith plays the lead role, Huma Qureshi, Kartikeya Gummakonda, Bani J, Yogi Babu, and Pavel Navageethan play important roles. Yuvan Shankar Raja has composed the music while Nirav Shah and Vijay Velukutty had done cinematography and editing respectively. 

It has been speculated that Valimai will clash with Rajini's 'Annaatthe' and Simbu's 'Maanaadu' during this Diwali as the Tamil fans await a triple treat. Bankrolled by Suresh Kamatchi under the banner of 'V House' productions, Maanaadu is directed by Venkat Prabhu. While Simbu plays the lead role in Maanaadu, the movie comes up with an ensemble cast with SJ Suryah, Kalyani Priyadarshan, Bharathiraja, SA Chandrasekhar, Karunakaran, Premgi Amaren, Manoj Bharathiraja, Udhaya, and Aravind Akash playing important roles.

On the front of Annaatthe and Valimai, Rajinikanth and Ajith are going to clash again after three years - after the Pongal festival in 2019 when Rajini starred 'Petta' and Ajith starred 'Viswasam' released on January 10, 2019. On the other hand, Annaatthe comes with an ensemble cast. The movie is produced by Kalanithi Maran under his own banner of Sun Pictures and directed by Siva, who directed Ajith in Viswasam. While Rajinikanth plays the lead role, Meena, Khushbu, Nayanthara, Keerthy Suresh, Jackie Shroff, Jagapathi Babu, Prakash Raj, Vela Ramamoorthy, Soori, Sathish, and George Maryan will be playing important roles. Imman has composed the music while Vetri and Ruben had taken care of cinematography and editing respectively.
