Ajith's Thunivu get its OTT release date! Here's when and where to watch the actioner...

Touted as an action thriller, directed by H. Vinoth Thunivu frenzy hasn't quieted down since the film's release. The latest update of which fans were treated to a delightful update is on the film's digital streaming release. H. Vinoth's high-octane actioner, which opened in theatres on January 11 by locking horns with Vijay's Varisu, has received very extraordinary reception from fans around the world, furtherly it enters the 100-crore club.

Netflix took to Twitter on Friday and wrote, "It is time for the explosions to begin because Ajith Kumar is finally here! Thunivu is coming to Netflix on Feb 8th in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada and Hindi and we cannot stay CHILLA CHILLA!" The digital rights of this latest biggie were reportedly purchased by Netflix for 65 crores.

In addition to the official announcement, the widely popular OTT platform also posted an enticing video announcing the streaming debut featuring Mohana Sundaram, Bagavathi Perumal, and their personas Mai Pa and Inspector Rajesh from the film.

Manju Warrier plays the lead role in Thunivu. Following Dhanush's Asuran, this is the Malayalam actress's second Tamil film. Due to the actor's anti-hero performance, the film captivated more than its fair number of moviegoers. The runtime for Thunivu is  reported by sources as 2 hours and 23 minutes. The film stars Manju Warrier, John Kokkhen, Nayana Sai, GM Sundar, Mahanadi Shankar, Samuthirakani, Bhagwati Perumal Ajay and Veera. Cinematography by Nirav Shah dited by Velukutty.  Gibran has composed the music.

Red Giant Movies took the theatrical distribution rights in Tamil Nadu, where the overseas theatrical rights have been purchased by Lyca Productions, where the film is backed by Boney Kapoor's Bayview Projects and Zee Studios. Netflix has acquired the streaming rights of Thunivu and Kalaignar TV has purchased the satellite rights.
