While Rajinikanth enthusiasts eagerly await his return to the big screen with 'Lal Salaam,' the veteran star is simultaneously engaged in another exciting project, 'Thalaivar170,' directed by TJ Gnanavel, which revealed its official title as Vettaiyan on Wednesday as a birthday treat from the star. Produced by Lyca Productions, the action drama is currently undergoing busy pre-production.

In 'Lal Salaam,' Rajinikanth will share the screen with Nirosha, portraying Moideen's wife, and Jeevitha Rajashekar, playing Moideen's sister. The film will also feature a special appearance by former cricketer Kapil Dev, introducing an unexpected element for the audience. The film is expected to hit theatres on Pongal 2024.
