Another feather in the hat: Actor Sivakarthikeyan is all set to make his directorial debut!

Kollywood actor Sivakarthikeyan is all set to don another feather in his versatile hat by making a debut in direction amid building a spectacular career in acting, production, and as a lyricist. Multiple sources confirm that Sivakarthikeyan will be pursuing the direction by helming a biopic of a famous Indian cricketer.

Sivakarthikeyan has been an inevitable artist of the current era of cinema and he was last seen in the movie Prince. Though his last project didn't do well at the box office, he enjoys an unbreakable bond with the Tamil fans across and beyond the borders. The actor has a handful of projects including Maaveeran and Ayalaan in the pipeline and besides acting, he is also concentrating on producing movies and writing lyrics for the songs.

Now, he has taken a baton to widen his outstanding journey by directing movies. According to our sources, Sivakarthikeyan will make a directorial debut by helming the biopic of Tamil Nadu-born Indian cricketer T Natarajan and interestingly, the actor will also play as the sports star in the movie. Sivakarthikeyan is known for producing the cricket-related movie 'Kana' which recorded a massive success.

As the actor is going to pursue direction, he has become the talk of town and even cricketer Natarajan asserted that Sivakarthikeyan would direct the biopic. Recently, Natarajan revealed that Sivakarthikeyan will play his role in the biopic. Now, he has shared that Sivakarthikeyan will be directing the movie and the actor's fans await to witness the new avatar of their idol.

Natarajan has been a key pacer of the Indian cricket team in all three formats. Currently, he is preparing to play in the upcoming IPL season with the Sunrisers Hyderabad. Natarajan's struggle to get into the Indian team and his ace bowling have been an inspiration to the cricket aspirers. It must be noted that earlier last year, Natarajan has rejected the offers of his biopic.

It was reported that several filmmakers from the south approached Natarajan to produce his biopic. However, he rejected those offers initially by citing that he wants to focus solely on his cricketing career and he wishes to contribute more for the Indian team. However, in an interview to a Tamil news agency this October, Natarajan said that he had accepted the offer of making a biopic and that Sivakarthikeyan has been in talks to play his role.
