RJ Balaji, the former radio jockey-turned movie star made his acting debut by playing cameo roles before gaining prominence in supporting roles in films like Theeya Velai Seiyyanum Kumaru, Vadacurry, and Naanum Rowdy Thaan. The actor is currently busy with his upcoming films, and in that regard a promotional poster for his upcoming movie has been unveiled.
Jiyen Krishnakumar, who is best known for the Malayalam blockbuster 'Tiyaan', which starred actor Prithviraj, is said to be helming this flick. RJ Balaji released a promo poster, by taking us to Twitter on Friday where he shared the update, along with the poster which featured him, and the caption read, "Are you ready to run." The poster which features the actor seems like a serious role, while Balaji is only known featuring in feel good comedy entertainers before like Veetla Vishesham, LKG, and Mookuthi Amman.
Earlier, the title and first look of RJ Balaji's next Singapore Saloon, directed by Gokul, were unveiled, and it featured him sporting a never-before-seen look - a thick beard, a tie, and a hairdresser's apron. His previous films have been for their concise plots and humorous delivery of social messages, so cinephiles are fascinated about what he has in store after the newly released promo look.
The upcoming RJ Balaji film is bankrolled by Prince Pictures, the banner that produced films like Karthi's Sardar, Dev, and Sasikumar starrer Kaari. Aishwarya Rajesh and RJ Balaji supposedly star in the new film as the protagonists. The well-known Malayalam filmmaker Jiyen Krishnakumar directs this film, which is being touted as a dark comedy. There has been no official confirmation as of yet.
