Kollywood Director Atlee, who has risen to fame through directing Actor Vijay for the three consecutive times, has been hoping for a major breakthrough in Bollywood as he would be making his debut as a director in the biggest movie industry in the nation.
In what would be called as a treat for his fans, Atlee would be bringing Bollywood stars Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone for the fourth time together through his directorial, which he eyes to have a national outreach. According to reports published by the popular film magazine, the movie starring Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone will be titled 'Sanki'.
The reports say that Atlee will be directing this bilingual film in Tamil and Hindi for a pan-India audience and the shooting for the film is expected to begin in 2021. The speculations were surfaced around the director and SRK after the former had posted a picture with the latter that they soon would be working together.
Following the speculations, it has now been made official that Atlee will be directing his first movie in Bollywood while the fanbase of SRK in India would be one of the major deciding factors for Atlee's remarkable place in Bollywood. Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone had appeared together in three movies - Om Shanti Om, Chennai Express, and Happy New Year.
'Happy New Year' was released in 2014 and the duo would be coming together for the fourth time in Atlee directorial. The reports stated that Deepika had agreed to the project after she loved the story which has been scripted as a commercial entertainer.
The Bollywood duo SRK and Deepika Padukone had earned a reception and an intimate connection on the stage of Kollywood through their blockbuster movie 'Chennai Express'. Atlee has been one of the fast-growing directors in Kollywood and he has been very close to the fans of Actor Vijay through directing him for three consecutive times in a short period.
Atlee has directed four movies so far. He made his debut as a director with the movie 'Raja Rani' in 2013 that starred Arya, Jai, Nayanthara, and Nazriya Nazim. After having success in his first movie, he went on to work with Actor Vijay, with whom he had made three other films in his career so far. Atlee has worked with Vijay in 'Theri', 'Mersal', and 'Bigil', and these three movies had attracted mixed reactions and compliments for the director, who has been building a significant fanbase.
