Back to back shock for EPS...Former ADMK Minister praises TN Minister Palanivel Thiagarajan!

Amid being surfaced with tensions over the resurrection of the Kodanad heist and murder case, ADMK's joint coordinator and former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Edappadi Palaniswami has been bracing up back to back shock as his former ministerial colleagues have been hailing the DMK apparently in the assembly and in the press meets. While Palaniswami has been protesting against the MK Stalin administration, some of the ADMK leaders are endorsing their support to the four-month-old DMK regime.

In line with that, former ADMK Minister Rajendra Balaji had praised Tamil Nadu Finance Minister Palanivel Thiagarajan. Rajendra Balaji was recently speculated to join the BJP after he camped in Delhi for few days. However, the ADMK leadership had claimed that he won't be leaving the party and on Tuesday, Rajendra Balaji, who served as the Minister of Dairy Development in the ADMK regime, had visited Srirangam Temple in Trichy to offer prayers.

He was seen accompanied by his former rival Rajavarman and the Trichy district ADMK cadres had given a grand reception to the former minister. After worshipping, Rajendra Balaji said that the current state of politics is healthy and Finance Minister Palanivel Thiagarajan is doing well. The apparent compliment had shocked Edappadi Palaniswami as Thiagarajan has attacked the ADMK regime for the state's poor financial condition. It must be noted that Rajendra Balaji had contested from the Rajapalayam constituency in the 2021 Tamil Nadu polls. However, he lost the race to the DMK MLA and became one of the senior ADMK leaders to concede the defeat in the elections.

DMK had also won support from ADMK leader O Panneerselvam in the assembly. The gesture from Panneerselvam had come days after the party had protested against the Stalin regime and boycotted the assembly session to show its objection over what the ADMK claimed was the DMK's attempt to trap the leaders in the Kodanad heist case. On Monday, Panneerselvam had praised senior DMK Minister Duraimurugan and said, "I have been watching Duraimurugan's work in the assembly since 2001 and he is a person of the higher soul and earned unparalleled affection from Karunanidhi. Duraimurugan, who has won everyone's heart, poses to be antecedent on how the legislators must serve in the assembly and I wish him to have a healthy life."

On Tuesday, Panneerselvam had kept his tale of hailing the DMK and he went on to say that his father is a big devotee of late DMK President Karunanidhi. According to reports, the Tamil Nadu government had on Tuesday announced that it will build a memorial for Karunanidhi at Marina Beach in Chennai at an estimated cost of Rs 39 crore. Chief Minister MK Stalin had announced it in the assembly and said that his father Karunanidhi had remained in public life for 80 years. MK Stalin has said that Karunanidhi was a versatile personality who shined in the Tamil cinema with his dialogues and was a member of the state assembly for 60 years.

He announced that the memorial will be built on 2.21 acres of land in the Anna Memorial premises, where he was laid to rest following his demise on August 7, 2018. Speaking at the assembly after the announcement of building a memorial to Karunanidhi, ADMK leader O Panneerselvam had welcomed the announcement. He said, "I welcome the historical announcement of building a memorial for Karunanidhi. I demand to the government that the memorial should be placed with the achievements and highlights of Karunanidhi's life." Panneerselvam went on to say that his father was a staunch devotee of Karunanidhi and that he would always have a dialogue written by Karunanidhi in 'Parasakthi' movie with him.
