Back to the den: Ravindra Jadeja dots up the rumours by sharing this yellovely pic as CSK retains him!

Indian cricketer, Ravindra Jadeja's road to roar in the IPL is clear as he is all set to don his signature yellow jersey in the upcoming edition after being retained by Chennai Super Kings, his long-associated team with which he got into rumours of allegedly having friction after he uncapped his captaincy in the last season. The current drive for releasing and retaining the players has become the talk of the town as it was closely watched by the fans.

The IPL mini-auction is scheduled on December 23 and ahead of the roll-out of the trade, the IPL teams are releasing the players to the common pool while retaining some under their franchises. As part of the drive, the Chennai Super Kings released a dozen of players on Tuesday including Dwayne Bravo, Chris Jordan, and Robin Uthappa. The official social media handles of the team were filled with a barrage of posts announcing the developments.

While there were surprise releases, the retention of key player Ravindra Jadeja turned heads as it has come when there was a pile of speculations that his ties with the team are deteriorating after that alleged tussle last year. However, by retaining him for the upcoming season, the CSK management has perhaps put an end to such speculations and when the picture of the team was shared, Jadeja was seen standing tall next to iconic skipper MS Dhoni.

Undoubtedly, Dhoni will be captaining the team in the upcoming season as it has been said that the next edition could be the last for Dhoni, it has increased the expectations even as the fans are keen to witness the big-basket of trade. Jadeja, on the other hand, seemed to be curious about dotting up the rumours against him as he did it by sharing a yellovely picture in which he was seen with MS Dhoni - to imply that everything is fine with him.

Jadeja shared the picture on social media and wrote, "Everything is fine. #Restart." Sharing the same, Chennai Super Kings wrote on Twitter, "Always and Forever". Jadeja's tweet was going viral as it got rampant spread from the fans. Officially announcing Jadeja's retention in another tweet, the team wrote, "Million Memories. Million More!." It must be noted that the southpaw was leading the team through half of the tourney last year.

Jadeja was appointed as the Captain of CSK for the 2022 edition in what was described as a major leadership transition. However, he left his captaincy midway through the season after which MS Dhoni took the baton to lead the team. When he quit his captaincy, there were several rumours that he left the role after a tussle with the CSK team and that he won't be playing for the team.

Jadeja's action of removing all posts related to the CSK team during the 2021 and 2022 seasons from his Instagram account supported the rumours of friction between him and the franchise. However, CSK's decision to retain Jadeja has dotted up such rumours as he is all set to don the yellow cap and roar from one of the successful IPL teams. CSK has retained the core players of its fleet and released a league of players including some game-changers.
