For the ardent fans of Simbu, it's a full swing of celebrations as they relish the back-to-back updates from the actor's camp and the latest one comes in a fashion of captivating the audience. Last week, the actor released a picture and shared that the dubbing for his next movie 'Vendhu Thanindhathu Kaadu' (VTK) has been wrapped and now, he has dropped an update about his project 'Pathu Thala'.
On July 29, Simbu wrote, "Dubbing wrapped for VTK." The movie has been slated for a theatrical release on September 15th. It's been three months since Gautham Vasudev Menon wrapped up the shooting of 'Vendhu Thanindhathu Kaadu' and the movie team was busy with post-production works. Simbu has shared the good news about the film as it is approaching towards release.
Vendhu Thanindhathu Kaadu will get released on September 15 and it will be distributed by Udhayanidhi Stalin under his own banner Red Giant Movies. The movie is produced by Ishari K Ganesh under the banner of Vels Film International and AR Rahman composed the music, where the first single track, 'Kaalathukkum Nee Venum' has been hugely loved by the fans, and the rest of the songs would be unveiled in a grand audio launch event, hopefully by August.
While Simbu plays the leading role, pairing with Siddhi Idnani as a female lead in the film, the movie also has Radikaa Sarathkumar, Siddique, Appukutty, Neeraj Madhav, and others playing pivotal roles. Silambarasan TR will be seen playing the character of Muthu while Siddhi would be playing Paavai.
On Monday- August 1, within a span of two days, Simbu shared another big update. Taking to Twitter, he shared firing pictures of him and wrote, "Shooting in progress...#PathuThala." 'Pathu Thala' is the Tamil remake of the Kannada blockbuster 'Mufti'. Directed by Obeli N Krishna, of Sillunu Oru Kaadhal-fame. Simbu plays a gangster while Gautham Karthik plays a cop.
Priya Bhavani Shankar and Kalaiyarasan will be seen in pivotal roles. Isai Puyal AR Rahman is scoring music for this action-packed masala film, which will be storming on December 14, by lastly reported update. Pathu Thala is jointly produced by Jayantilal Gada and KE Gnanavelraja, and cinematography by Farook J Basha. Praveen KL handles the editing.
The shooting was quite delayed for some time due to Simbu's father T Rajendar's health setback. The pictures that he released on Monday featured the actor sitting majestically in a chair. The update has become the talk of the town with several fans commenting that the actor is ready to play his game. Director Obeli Krishna wrote, "Hot film making with cool @SilambarasanTR bro. #PathuThala."
