Big announcement from director Lokesh Kanagaraj: Reveals his next project! See the first look

Besides being perplexed and vested with no clue on when his must-expected directorial 'Master' would be released on the big screens, Lokesh Kanagaraj has been camped for his next venture to count on his successful journey as he has been accelerating his directorial trajectory many steps further from his last one. 

While his directorial 'Master' starred by Thalapathy Vijay and packed with top actors like Malavika Mohanan, and Vijay Sethupathy is yet to get released on the big screens in the wake of the indefinite closures of the theaters and cinema halls owing to the COVID-19 outbreak and restrictions, Lokesh Kanagaraj had recently stirred the speculations after he announced about his next venture. 

On Tuesday, Lokesh Kanagaraj occupied social media after his announcement. He took to Twitter and said, "I'm very happy to let you guys know that the Announcement of my next directorial venture will be out tomorrow at 6 pm!" While the sudden announcement had come from the growing film-maker in the Kollywood, many had gone buzzing on what would be his next venture, who would be the actor, and whether 'Master' is nearing its release. 

 

His announcement had become the talk of Kollywood and cinema critics that surfaced the speculations around the director on who would he be directing next. Some reports suggested that he would be working with Suriya, Vikram, Vijay Sethupathy, and some went on say that he will be directing Ulaga Nayagan Kamal Haasan or Superstar Rajinikanth. Leaving everyone with suspense, Lokesh Kanagaraj had taken to Twitter on Wednesday at 6 pm and revealed his next project, which surprised many and relished his fans on such a huge venture. 

Yes, his suspense didn't go vain as he has revealed that he will be directing Ullaga Nayagan Kamal Haasan. By taking to Twitter, he said, "Aandavarukku Nandri #KamalHaasan232", and etched the hashtag 'Yevan Endru Ninaithai' in Tamil font, leaving the space for speculations on whether it would be the name of the movie. However, he also has posted the image that unveiled what could be his next venture, in which it was titled temporarily as Kamal Haasan 232. It would be Kamal Haasan's 232nd movie and it would be bankrolled by Raaj Kamal Films International while Anirudh would be composing music. 

 

Lokesh Kanagaraj had attained the elevation of directing Kamal Haasan as his fourth venture after he had earned the immense reputation over his last two movies - Maanagaram and Kaithi whereas his third project with Actor Vijay has also been on the limelight of expectation both from the Thalapathy fans and the fans of the director. In what has become the big announcement from the director on working with Kamal in his next movie that was produced under Kamal's own production house, Lokesh Kanagaraj had left traces on the first look poster that he posted about the movie. 

The first look poster was filled with red as its backdrop and it has a man's (presumably Kamal Haasan) face that was put together with the collage made of guns and bullets. The poster reads, "Once Upon a time there lived a ghost", which signaled whether it would the mixture of crime and horror. The poster carried 'Summer 2021', however, it was not clear whether the movie will be released in 2021 and it would begin the shooting. 

The first time tie-up between the young director and phenomenal actor and the first look poster had sparked the expectations for the venture while Lokesh Kanagaraj has kept the expectations alive on his directorial 'Master'. By leveling the expectations, Lokesh Kanagaraj has been surfaced with the massive attention from the fans and audiences on his two projects with the actors who have huge stardoms at the global stage. Kamal Haasan's new venture with the young director would come at a high time when the actor has been preparing to emerge as a full-time politician and he currently has two movies under different banners - Indian 2 and Thalaivan Irukkindran.
