Big blow for Kangana Ranaut: How Twitter gave a shock to the Bollywood star?

As the sequel of the incessant tirades that stirred controversies, Twitter has on Thursday removed several tweets of Bollywood actor and BJP supporter Kangana Ranaut under the grounds of violating the rules of the microblogging site. In what has become a big blow to Ranaut, the action from Twitter, which has shocked the Bollywood star, has come after the actor has been staunchly attacking the protesting farmers and calling them terrorists.

The spokesperson of Twitter said, "We have taken actions on Tweets that were in violation of the Twitter rules in line with our range of enforcement options". According to reports, Kangana's Twitter account was restricted for hours on Thursday morning as well. For the past few days, the Bollywood star, who has been steering along with controversies after repeatedly branding the farmers' terrorists.

She reiterated her call, even more, stronger when she replied to international pop-singer Rihanna when the latter had extended her support to the protesting farmers. On Tuesday, Rihanna took to Twitter and shared a news link of the communication blackout in Delhi and asked, "Why aren't we talking about this?". Her tweet had poured global attention to the farmers' protests following which Kangana came to the picture and unleashed her attack against the singer and farmers.

Reacting to Rihanna's tweet, Kangana Ranaut said, "No one is talking about it because they are not farmers, they are terrorists who are trying to divide India so that China can take over our vulnerable broken nation and make it a Chinese colony much like the USA... Sit down you fool, we are not selling our nation like you dummies." Through her tweet, Kangana had shown that she is not ready to accept Rihanna's remarks and anyone's remarks that the protesting farmers are farmers.

Besides calling farmers terrorists, Kangana went on to call the opposition, activists, and general public who are supporting the farmers as terrorists and labeled Indian Singer Diljit Dosanjh, who supported the farmers, as Khalistani. She also had called Rihanna a porn singer. With less condemnation from the government, Kangana went on to degrade the farmers and those who supported them and their demand of repealing the three controversial farm laws.

However, she has now faced a big blow after Twitter had removed her tweets of branding the peasants as terrorists, which had become a sign of warning for the Bollywood star. According to a news agency,   Twitter has taken the action of removing her tweets based on abusive behavior policy and her tweets had carried the intention of targeting and harassing someone or incite other people.

Twitter said, "We prohibit content that wishes, hopes, or expresses a desire for death, serious bodily harm against an individual or group of people and take enforcement action when we identify violations which could include placing an account in read-only mode". The two-month-long agitation from the farmers' protests have gained major attention across and beyond the borders and they have been demanding to repeal the three farm laws passed by the government that they fear would dismantle the grounds of Minimum Support Price (MSP) and would pump in the private players into the agricultural sector.
