From a big surprise to Vijay's phone call with Anirudh: Massive 'Beast' update! But, it's not what fans expected!

As announced, the ardent fans of Vijay had got a massive update from the actor's upcoming movie 'Beast' and though it wasn't what they had expected, they had several unexpected elements to relish the update. At 6 pm on Monday- February 7, the movie team has unveiled the update that Beast's first single will be released on February 14, on the occasion of Valentine's Day. 

While the fans were expecting that the movie team will reveal the release date of Beast, they took the fans into a big surprise of unveiling the update about the first single -' Arabic Kuthu'. Sun Pictures has released the update on social media. It wrote, "#BeastFirstSingle - #ArabicKuthuOnFeb14." It has shared a promo for the first single that was made in director Nelson Dilipkumar's style. The promo runs for over six minutes. 

Nelson has been releasing updates of his movies in an unanticipated fashion. Like how it was done for his previous film Doctor, Beast has also been experiencing such fashion. While the lyrics for Arabic Kuthu was penned by Sivakarthikeyan, the music is composed by Anirudh. It's apparent that Nelson, Sivakarthikeyan, and Anirudh observe a close relationship, the trio had featured in the promo along with a big surprise element - a phone call with actor Vijay. 

In the video, Anirudh calls Vijay over the phone and he can be heard saying that the first song has been completed. Vijay asks about the song and Anirudh says it's 'Arabic Kuthu', for which Vijay asks, "I know Arabic and Kuthu. But what's mean by Arabic Kuthu." Responding to his question, Nelson can be heard sarcastically saying that Anirudh has invented Arabic Kuthu. 

In a sarcastic tone, Vijay asks them to bring the song to his home and with the background music, the promo ends with the beginning of a new expectation on Valentine's Day. Vijay's phone call with Anirudh was the epicentre of the massive surprise and it is the first time that Sivakarthikeyan has penned lyrics for Vijay. The update has been going super viral on social media and the promo has garnered an immense reception from across and beyond the borders. 

By the time of writing the content, the promo has got over one million views within two hours of its release. Beast is Vijay's 65th movie and while it is bankrolled by Kalanithi Maran under his own banner Sun Pictures, it is helmed by Nelson Dilipkumar. While Vijay plays the lead role, Pooja Hegde, Selvaraghavan, Yogi Babu, Shine Tom Chacko, John Vijay, VTV Ganesh, Aparna Das, Sathish Krishnan, and Redin Kingsley play important roles. Anirudh has composed the music and the movie will most likely get released on 14th April 2022.
