A big toss in Kollywood: Is Simbu going to join hands with this popular director for his next?

Simbu's last 'Maanaadu', which is a blockbuster hit, has given a crucial comeback for the actor and his transformation and impressive market have opened doors for a new age market. With the success of Maanaadu, he has various projects in his kitty and the Kollywood is buzzed up with a toss of Simbu's unification with a popular director for his next project. 

Simbu has been on an outing with Gautham Vasudev Menon for the movie 'Vendhu Thaninthadhu Kaadu'. The movie is currently in the making and the actor is also busy with another movie 'Pathu Thala', which is also featuring Gautham Karthik and Priya Bhavani Shankar. The shooting of this movie will begin in March 2022. After Pathu Thala, he will be joining hands with director Gokul for the movie that has been titled 'Corona Kumar'.

The reports assert that after Corona Kumar, Simbu will be joining hands with popular director Ashwath Marimathu for his next project. Ashwath Marimuthu rose to fame by directing 'Oh My Kadavule', the movie which is now being remade into other several Indian languages. The sources in the know have said that Simbu has okayed the project with Marimuthu and will join him after completing his current projects.

This project is touted to be bankrolled by AGS Entertainment. Simbu's 'Maanaadu' hit the big screens last November and has become a career breakthrough movie for the actor. Maanaadu was produced by Suresh Kamatchi under the banner 'V House' Productions and directed by Venkat Prabhu.

While Simbu played the lead role, SJ Suryah, Kalyani Priyadarshan, SA Chandrasekhar, YG Mahendran, Vagai Chandrasekhar, Premgi Amaren, Karunakaran, Subbu Panchu, and Aravind Akash played important roles. Yuvan Shankar Raja has composed the music and while the movie was made at a budget of Rs 30 crore, it has grossed Rs 120 crore at the box office.
