A big twist in ADMK: EPS has relinquished his post to his close aide, who is in the eyes of TN Police!

In a big twist in the tale that ADMK's Edappadi Palaniswami (EPS) was not ready to give up his post of a district secretary, he has now relinquished his post and surprisingly, he had handed over that post to his close aide Elangovan, who has been in the eyes of the state police in connection with the Kodanad heist and murder case.

Following the intra-party election, the new office bearers were appointed to 41 party districts. The party's leadership has been changing the office bearers and new secretaries are being appointed in several districts across the state. Of these appointments, the one that has turned heads was the appointment of Elangovan, who is a native of Salem.

Elangovan was a close aide of Edappadi Palaniswami and while it was said that EPS won't be giving up the district level post, he had finally given up and appointed Elangovan as a Salem district secretary for ADMK, the post that was held by Palaniswami. Elangovan had been prominent in recent times as last year, the properties that were linked to him were raided by the anti-corruption officials.

The raids were carried out at 36 places and the officials have secured the documents that Elangovan had made crores of investment. The officials had also exhumed the unaccounted jewels. Recently, as the Tamil Nadu police have intensified the Kodanad heist and murder case, it has been reported that Elangovan will be called for the investigation. Amid being in the eyes of the police, Elangovan's rise in the party was armed by Edappadi Palaniswami.

While it was speculated that Elangovan had faced raids due to his proximity with Palaniswami, the former would stay away from the latter. However, Palaniswami had relinquished his district secretary post and awarded the same to Elangovan. It has been reported that Edappadi Palaniswami had decided to confer the post to Elangovan to show that his support will always be there for the latter.
