While Valimai is still awaiting to have clear clouds for its release, Ajith is all set to join the shooting of his next movie that has been tentatively named by Ajith 61. The actor is going to join hands with the minds of Valimai for the third consecutive time as Ajith 61 will be helmed by H Vinoth and produced by Boney Kapoor. The shooting of Ajith 61 is expected to hit the floors next month with a grand ceremony.
In what has become one of the crucial updates for Ajith 61, the actor will be sharing the screen space with a popular actress for the first time in 21 years. According to reports in the know, Ajith is all set to join hands with actress Tabu for his next movie and besides the first-time reunification after 21 years, Ajith 61 will become the third consecutive movie for the actor in working with the Bollywood actresses after 'Nerkonda Paarvai' and 'Valimai'.
The reports say that Tabu has accepted the offer without a second thought and the news of their reunification has been going viral on social media. With the movie, Tabu will be making a re-entry into the Tamil industry after nine years. She had acted in a few Tamil movies earlier and she paired with Ajith for the movie 'Kandukondain Kandukondain', which was directed by Rajiv Menon and released in 2000.
As she is now be joining hands with Ajith for the first time after two decades, the fans of the actor are relishing the update. It has been reported that the Ajith 61 movie team will be releasing the rest of the cast and crew members on February 14 following which they will commence the shooting. But before that, the fans are in an immense expectation over the new release date of Valimai as the release has been getting deferred in light of the Covid pandemic.
We can expect that Valimai will hit the screens in March 2022, ahead of the big race in April where several movies including Beast, KGF:2, and RRR are competing with each other. Valimai is bankrolled by Boney Kapoor under the banner 'Bayview Projects' and is directed by H Vinoth. While Ajith plays the lead role, Huma Qureshi, Kartikeya Gummakonda, Gurbani Judge, Yogi Babu, Selva, GM Sundar, and Pavel Navageethan will be playing important roles. Yuvan Shankar Raja and Ghibran have composed the music while the total budget of Valimai is Rs 150 crore.
