BJP functionary in Tamil Nadu arrested for hurling a petrol bomb at the residence of ADMK leader!

Tamil Nadu police have arrested a BJP functionary in connection with an incident of hurling a petrol bomb at the residence of an ADMK leader. The officials had also filed a case against six others in the case based on the CCTV footage that evidently showed the apprehended functionary had thrown the bomb.

As the ADMK leader is a relative of another BJP functionary, the saffron party had condemned the event but later, it was shocked to learn that its functionary was responsible for the act.  According to our sources, the incident had happened at Muthupettai in the Tiruvarur district. Chandrabose is an ADMK leader in the region and he is a relative of Ramu, a BJP functionary.

Chandrabose's residence was hit by the petrol bomb that was hurled by the unknown people. A major accident was prevented as soon as the fire caused by the bomb was doused. After the incident, a complaint was moved to the Muthupettai police station. As Chandrabose is a relative of the BJP functionary, BJP's state General Secretary Karuppu Muruganandham had visited the residence of Chadrabose.

Addressing the media, Muruganandham has said that the BJP will protest if the police fail to arrest the people who had thrown the petrol bomb at the residence of Chandrabose, who is a relative of the BJP functionary. Our sources say that the Muthupettai police had filed a case and formed a special team to nab the assailants. The police had gathered the CCTV footage from the crime spot.

Upon examining the CCTV footage, the police had come to know that the petrol bomb was hurled by a seven-member gang including BJP functionary Vasanth (a) Vasantha Kumar, who is the son of Kumaraiah. The police had also identified that the petrol bomb was hurled at Chadrabose's residence due to a dispute between him and Vasanth.

Based on the CCTV footage, the police had arrested BJP's Vasanth and registered a case against six others. Shockingly, Vasanth was a supporter of Muruganandham, who threatened to conduct a protest if police fail to arrest the assailants. As the BJP's functionary is the main accused, it has sent shockwaves to the party. The police have said that Vasanth also has a case against him for blazing up a motorbike of a DMK functionary. The police are being urged to book Vasanth under the Goondas Act for his continuous involvement in such crimes.
