Bombay Jayashri Health condition: Here's the official statement from the legendary singer's family

Bombay Jayashri, a famous carnatic vocalist and playback singer, was admitted to a hospital on Friday in London after collapsing in her hotel when she was on a tour in the UK for her concerts. This news has understandably caused a great deal of concern amongst her fans and well-wishers.

However, several reports states that she has undergone successful keyhole surgery and is now in a stable condition. She was diagnosed with an aneurysm, a condition where a blood vessel in the brain bulges or bursts. Hence she underwent a key hole surgery, a minimally invasive procedure that involves making small incisions in the skull.

The statement released through Bombay Jayashri's Twitter handle has requested privacy and support as the singer rests and recuperates over the next few days. It reads, "Bombay Jayashri had a health set back in the United Kingdom and received timely medical interventions. She is currently stable and recovering well, she requires rest for a couple of days. Bombay Jayashri's family requests privacy and your support during this period"

As soon as she regains consciousness and her vital parameters are stable, it is expected that the singer will be travelled to Chennai. News of her recovery will undoubtedly be a source of relief for her fans and well-wishers all over the world, and on social media they are expressing their heartfelt wishes for her quick recovery and good health.

Bombay Jayashri is known for her soulful voice and exceptional talent in the world of Indian classical music. Her contributions to the field have been significant, and her recognition with the Padma Shri award in 2021 is a testament to her immense talent. She has also received several awards and honours for her contributions to music, such as Sangeetha Choodamani, Kalaimaamani, Sangeetha Kalasarathy and recently, she was conferred with the Sangita Kalanidhi by Music Academy.
