On Thursday, after achieving the milestone, the Prime Minister took to Twitter and wrote, "India scripts history. We are witnessing the triumph of Indian science, enterprise and collective spirit of 130 crore Indians. Congrats India on crossing 100 crore vaccinations. Gratitude to our doctors, nurses and all those who worked to achieve this feat."

On Friday, Prime Minister Modi had made a televised address to the nation at 10 am concerning the One Billion vaccination milestone during which he said that the feat is the beginning of a new chapter and the country had ensured to break the VIP culture in the vaccination drive. In his address that lasted for nearly twenty minutes, the Prime Minister touched upon several factors including his initiatives of lighting diyas and banging utensils last year, which, at that time he claimed will send solidarity to the frontline workers.

In his address, the Prime Minister said, "On 21st October, India accomplished the target of 1 billion COVID19 vaccinations. This achievement belongs to every individual in the country. I congratulate every citizen for this feat." By citing that 100 crore vaccination mark is not just a number, Modi said it's a new chapter in the history of India which is a testament that the country can achieve a tough aim successfully. He further said that the milestone shows that the country works hard for the fulfilment of its goals.

The Prime Minister acknowledged that India's vaccination drive was surfaced with apprehensions and said that the vaccination campaign has now become a living example of Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas aur Sabka Prayas. On the front of breaking the VIP culture in the vaccination campaign, Modi said," We ensured that VIP culture does not overshadow our vaccination program and everyone is treated equally." and added, "We should be proud of the fact that India's entire vaccination program has been 'science-driven and science-based. It's based on scientific methods, entirely."

Modi had affirmed that there has been no discrimination in the vaccination mantra and said that the entire world is watching India over its vaccination feat and added that the world will now see India as safer from Covid and its acceptance as a pharma hub will grow further. He listed out questions before the country over its vaccination, "Will India be able to cope up, will it be able to vaccinate so many people or where will it get the money from to buy vaccines?" and Modi vowed that the 100-crore vaccination mark is an answer to all these questions and apprehensions.

The Prime Minister has also touched upon the economy and said, "Experts in India and abroad are very positive about India's economy. Today, not only record investment is coming to Indian companies but new employment opportunities are also being created for the youth." "Whenever we see there is only optimism now, earlier there were only chants about made in this country, that country, but today everyone is talking about Made in India", the Prime Minister added.

As India is nearing a festive season, the Prime Minister appealed to the people to celebrate the season by not letting the guard down and he requested the people to receive Covid-19 vaccines. He said, "I request all to celebrate the upcoming festivals with utmost caution. I appeal to all those who have not taken the first dose of the COVID19 vaccine yet should be given utmost priority to getting vaccinated. Those who are vaccinated should encourage others." With the country reaching a remarkable milestone, several global leaders had congratulated India, Prime Minister Modi, and the medical community for attaining a pinnacle in vaccination.
