'Can't wait to watch this one': Suresh Raina wishes his former teammate for making a debut in Tamil cinema!

Iconic Indian cricketer Suresh Raina has wished his former Indian teammate Irfan Pathan as the latter has made his debut in the Tamil cinema through the movie 'Cobra' which has been slated for a theatrical release on August 31. Raina further wished the entire movie team a huge success.

37-year-old Irfan Pathan is all ready to thrill the audience with his Interpol agent role in the name of Aslan Yilmaz in Cobra. The movie's trailer was launched on Thursday and it runs for over two minutes. It has garnered millions of views within a short span of time and sharing the trailer on Twitter, Raina said he can't wait to watch this intriguing movie. 

Suresh Raina wrote, "So happy for you brother @IrfanPathan to watch you perform in Cobra. This looks like a complete action-packed film, wishing you & entire cast huge success on this. Can't wait to watch this one." Replying to Raina, Irfan Pathan wrote, "Thank you mere Bhai. Lots of love to you and family." Irfan Pathan will be sharing the screen space with Chiyaan Vikram and KGF fame Srinidhi Shetty.  

Earlier, while talking about the movie at a promotional event, Vikram said,  "You must be aware of the film "Anniyan." But compared to that film, this one has more layers to peel back and Cobra combines science fiction, high-octane action, and psychological suspense."

"Both of Ajay Gnanamuthu's films 'Demonte Colony' and 'Imaika Nodigal' have unique screenplays. In a similar vein, Cobra is made in a different genre, which will be liked by all", Vikram added. He appealed to the audience to watch the movie in the theatre and show support. 

Cobra is bankrolled by SS Lalit Kumar under the banner of Seven Screen Studio. While Vikram plays the lead role, Irfan Pathan will be playing the antagonist. Srinidhi Shetty will be playing the female lead and Mrinalini Ravi, Meenakshi, Miya George, Roshan Mathew, KS Ravikumar, Robo Shankar, and Anandaraj will play important roles. As an interesting element, Oscar-winning musician AR Rahman composed music for Cobra and the movie has been made on the budget of Rs 90 crore. It will be released on August 31 on the occasion of Ganesh Chathurthi.
