Caught on cam: Thalapathy Vijay arrives in Chennai theater to watch 'Master' with fans! Video goes viral

Devi theater in Chennai had the luckiest and surprise Pongal celebration as it has hosted actor Vijay in its cinema hall. Vijay had come to the theater to watch the 'Master' movie along with his fans and the video of his entry into the theater has been getting rampantly shared by his fans on social media. 

The surveillance camera in the Devi theater had recorded Vijay's entry and he was seen wearing a cap. Thalapathy was heartily welcomed by the theater officials who took the actor into the theater. Vijay watched his 'Master' on FDFS at the Devi theater on January 13. The video was shared by some of his fan clubs on Twitter and the video is the talk of the town and it has been widely shared on social media. 

Vijay starred 'Master' has become the perfect Pongal treat for his fans and the theaters and though the fans and theaters are imposed with the COVID-19 protocols, the sea of fans has been pouring rain of money on the movie as Master has been dominating the box office in Tamil Nadu. The movie was released on January 13 and the film has earned Rs 25 crores and Rs 40 crores on the first and second days respectively in Tamil Nadu, which had shown that the movie has got a great reception. 

Master has presented a classy Vijay to his fans and his successful comeback after one-and-a-half-years has made Master one of the favorite and most celebrated movies of Vijay of all time. Along with Tamil Nadu, the reports say that movie has been well-received in countries like Australia. Master is bankrolled by Xavier Britto under the banner of XB Film Creators while Lokesh Kanagaraj has directed the movie, which marks the first collaboration for 'Kaithi' director to work with Vijay. 

While Vijay is playing the role of the college professor, Vijay Sethupathi plays the antagonist, and Malavika Mohanan in the female lead. Andrea Jeremiah, Shanthanu Bhagyaraj, and Gauri Kishan are playing important roles. Being the much-anticipated movie of Vijay, Master was given a royal welcome across and beyond the borders and it has now come to light that Vijay has joined the fans at the Devi theater and watched the movie on its release. 

On Friday, with two days into release, it was officially confirmed that Master will be remade in Hindi. Endemol Shine India, Cine 1 studios, and 7 screens on Friday announced that they have acquired the rights to adapt Master in Hindi. In a statement, Chief Executive of Endemol Shine India Abhishek Rege said, "Master is laced with masterful performances and powerful narrative that resonates with audiences across the country". 

Rege stated, "Master is the first major film from the Tamil industry to release in the pandemic and has received an overwhelming response from the audience. We are incredibly proud to have acquired the rights to such a hot property. We look forward to recreating the magic of this film to captivate the Hindi audience". It has been expected that the casting for the Hindi remake will commence soon.
