Chandramukhi 2: Raghava Lawrence’s horror-comedy to audio launch date is here!

The much-awaited sequel to the 2005 blockbuster Chandramukhi is finally ready to hit the screens on September 19, 2023. The film, titled Chandramukhi 2,  which is touted to be a “spiritual successor” of the Rajinikanth-starrer, will also have Kangana Ranaut playing a pivotal role as a dancer in the king’s court.

The film is directed by P. Vasu, who also helmed the first part. Now the spectacular audio launch event, is debuting tomorrow on Friday, which will also feature the presence of the film’s director P Vasu, producer Lyca Productions, and actor-comedian Vadivelu, who is reprising his role from the original. 

The event will be held at a star hotel in Chennai and will be attended by the cast and crew of the film, along with some special guests from the industry. Raghava Lawrence took to  Twitter  to share the news with his fans and followers, by sharing a new poster featuring himself as the mighty King along with Kangana Ranaut as the famous Chandramukhi. 

He wrote, “Hi dear friends and fans! Tomorrow is #Chandramukhi2 audio launch. Need all your blessings". Chandramukhi 2 is expected to be a thrilling horror-comedy that will follow the adventures of the supernatural occurrences that take place in their newly-bought bungalow. The film will have music by Oscar winner MM Keeravani, cinematography by RD Rajasekar, and art direction by Thotta Tharani.

The original Chandramukhi was a remake of the Malayalam film Manichitrathazhu, which starred Mohanlal and Shobana in the lead roles. The film was also remade in Hindi as Bhool Bhulaiyaa, starring Akshay Kumar and Vidya Balan.
