Chandramukhi 2 Trailer: Kangana Ranaut and Ragava Lawrence face the wrath of a vengeful revenge of 17 years!

The wait is over for the fans of horror-comedy genre. The much-anticipated trailer of ‘Chandramukhi 2’ has been released today and it promises to be a thrilling ride. The movie stars Kangana Ranaut and Ragava Lawrence in lead roles, reprising the roles of Jyothika and Rajinikanth from the original ‘Chandramukhi’ (2005).

The film is directed by P Vasu, who also helmed the first part, and will hit the theatres on September 15 in multiple languages. The trailer shows a family moving into a haunted house, owned by Murugesan, played by Vadivelu, where they encounter strange and terrifying events.

The story of Chandramukhi, a dancer who was killed by her lover Vettaiyan, unfolds as the family tries to unravel the mystery behind the house again after 17 years. Kangana Ranaut plays the role of the famous courtroom dancer who comes as an uninvited haunted guest to the family and Ragava Lawrence plays the helping lead for the family in need.

The trailer also gives glimpses of the songs and dance sequences that are expected to be a highlight of the movie. The origin movie is a remake of the Malayalam film ‘Manichitrathazhu’ (1993), which was also remade in Hindi as ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa’ (2007) starring Akshay Kumar and Vidya Balan. The movie is produced by Sun Pictures, and Lyca Productions and has music by Oscar composer MM Keeravani.

The movie also features Raadhika Sarathkumar, Lakshmi Menon, Srushti Dange, Mithun Shyam, Mahima Nambiar, Rao Ramesh, Vignesh, Ravi Mariya, Suresh Menon, T. M. Karthik, and Subiksha Krishnan. The trailer has received a positive response from the audience and critics alike, who eagerly await the movie's release, which is hitting theatres by September 15th, on the occasion of Ganesh Chathurthi.

The movie will also mark the comeback of Kangana Ranaut to Tamil cinema after Thalaivi. This film is also a special one for Ragava Lawrence, who is a huge fan of Rajinikanth and has always wanted to act in his remake. At the trailer and audio launch event, he has also choreographed the dance sequences in the movie and has paid tribute to the superstar’s style and mannerisms.
