Andhra Pradesh based College has renamed a department of the umbrella institution to Sonu Sood Department of Arts and Humanities. 
 
Actor Sonu Sood has helped many migrant workers, students, and more amid the pandemic situation for a few months.  
 
Currently, he has the Tamil film Thamilarasan in the hand, directed by Babu Yogeswaran under the SNS Production Company. It stars Vijay Antony, Suresh Gopi, and Ramya Nambeesan in lead roles.   
 
Recently, Andhra Pradesh based Sarat Chandra IAS Academy, Sarat Chandra Degree College, and Sarat Chandra Junior College has renamed the Arts and Humanities department of the umbrella institution the Sonu Sood Department of Arts and Humanities. 
 
Noting to this honoring, Sood said, “I am extremely humbled and grateful. I feel fortunate that I received the opportunity to help whoever was in need. And now that such a big institute has honoured my actions, I will only be motivated to keep being there for those who need me.”
