'Congress Files': It's BJP's new weapon to attack the Congress party over corruption ahead of crucial polls!

Ahead of the crucial polls from the fast-approaching Karnataka polls to the 2024 general election, the BJP regime has shaped its new weapon to attack the Congress party over its corruption. Though the BJP has been accusing the Congress of committing corruption for years now, this new strategy has come up in a fashion of documentary with the aim of exposing the Congress party's corruption.

Titled 'Congress Files', the first episode of the series was released by the BJP on Sunday - April 2. By pitching its 'deshbhakt' propaganda, the BJP regime has alleged that the corruption money that went to the Congress party could have been utilised for the national security and development. The BJP further termed the Congress-led UPA rule from 2004 to 2014 as a 'lost decade'.

By releasing a video of Congress Files, BJP took to Twitter and wrote, "The first episode of the Congress Files, see how one after the other corruption and scams took place under the Congress rule." BJP highlighted 'Congress means corruption' and said, "Congress has looted Rs 48,20,69,00,00,000 from public in 70 years of its rule. That money could have been utilised for so many useful areas of security and development."

"Using this much amount, 24 INS Vikrant, 300 Rafale jets, and 1000 Mangal Missions could have been made of purchased. But the country has to bear the cost of Congress corruption and it lagged behind in the race of progress", the video message added. The BJP's video said, "Coal scam of Rs 1.86 lakh crore, 2G Spectrum scam of Rs 1.76 lakh crore, MNREGA scam of Rs 10 lakh crore, Commonwealth scam of Rs 70,000 crore."

"Keeping the whole 70 years aside, if we only look at the last tenure of 2004-14, it was a 'Lost Decade'. The government was led by Manmohan Singh, who turned a blind eye to all the corruption that kept on happening under his rule", the video further added. At the end of the three-minute video, BJP said that it was only the trailer of Congress's corruption and the movie is still not over.

Times Of India quoted the sources in the BJP saying that the video will remind the people of how corruption had become a norm during the two tenures of the Congress-led UPA and how people unseated the Congress regime by electing BJP and Prime Minister Modi.
