Cristiano Ronaldo's 'big goal' against Coke: Here's how Coca-Cola responded to the action of superstar!

It was an action lasted for a few seconds but the impact it had made on the world stage is huge that it had collapsed a part of a global empire. Football legend Cristiano Ronaldo was behind the act that shaken the global brand Coca-Cola as it has lost USD 4 billion in its market value. Ronaldo is the superstar of the football world and when he stays away from something, his world will follow his path.

Ronaldo is the keenly-watched player of the ongoing Euro Championship and on Tuesday, Ronaldo had arrived at the team's press conference ahead of his team's (Portugal) match with Hungary and ahead of opening his speech, he found two Coke bottles placed before him.

It must be noted that Coca-Cola is one of the sponsors of Euro 2020. But, Ronaldo diRoadn't care about that, and as soon as he spotted the Coke bottles, he snubbed them and kept them away from him. He then carried a water bottle and asked everyone to drink water instead of Coke.

As a result of his short campaign, Coca-Cola has got bad news as Ronaldo's action of snubbing the brand had triggered adverse effects on the brand value of the global empire. According to reports, Ronaldo's action has gone viral globally and Coca-Cola's market value began declining with the company has braced the loss of around Rs 40,000 crore in a single day due to a single action.

The reports say that after the superstar's snubbing, Coca-Cola's share price had dropped from $56.10 to $55.22. Despite bracing an unprecedented scale of decline in the market value, Coca-Cola had responded to the development and the company has said, "Everyone is entitled to their drink preferences as people have different tastes and needs."

A spokesperson of the Euro 2020 tournament has said that the players are offered water, alongside Coca-Cola and Coca-Cola Zero Sugar, on arrival at the press conferences. The 36-year-old superstar is taking more care of his body and even at his age, he is shining on the field and leading the team successfully. The netizens say his action of snubbing the coke bottles shows that one of the reasons he stays fit is that he boycotts the carbonated soft drinks.

Ronaldo was addressing the press conference ahead of Portugal's Group F opener against Hungary. On the other hand, Ronaldo has on Tuesday hit several milestones as he hit three goals and defeated Hungary in the latter's home ground of Budapest. With Ronaldo's remarkable game, Portugal had opened the season with the victory and Ronaldo is now the record goalscorer in his history of the European Championships with eleven strikes to his name.
