Cyclone Kyarr intensifies in the Indian western coast!

The fishermen in the state of Tamil Nadu on the waters of Arabian sea has been alerted and called off from their sails as the hands of Cyclone 'Kyarr' gets severe with the expectations that the cyclone will hit the shores of Arabian sea by Saturday by showering heavy rainfalls in the coastal states of Arabian Sea.

Cautioning the fishermen who are deep into the sea, the Tamil Nadu fisheries department had issued warnings last Saturday prior of Cyclone intensifies and with accord to the warnings, the reports say that about 478 deep sea boats on the waters of Indian west coast have sailed to the shore till Thursday evening where the Director of fisheries department had expressed that remaining 292 boats would be banked to the shore between Thursday and Friday before the Cyclone approaches with storming waves.

Speaking about the developments, the director had said that some of the fishermen of Tamil Nadu have been on the boats owned by the fellow fishermen of the state while others are working in the boats that belong to the fishermen of Kerala, Karnataka, Goa and Maharashtra and the alerts and warnings were issued to the entire fleet to ensure that they sail back to the shore. It has bee reported that the fishermen were reached through satellite phones and radios while the boats of the other states have been beacon-ed with the warnings from Indian Coast Guard in Gujarat, Karnataka and Maharashtra.

He had indicated that through the prior and early warnings, more than 470 boats have reached the shore and stated that the department had signaled the advance warnings to lessen the possibilities of wrecking devastation like Cyclone Ockhi and Gaja that had claimed more lives in the past two years across the coastal areas. By claiming that the people don't have to panic, he had cited that the necessary arrangements have been camped to rescue and to house the fishermen who are returning to the shore.

The Indian Meteorological Department had issued red alert warning for the coastal Karnataka as it was predicted that the state would encounter a hard and tough hit from the Cyclone and further said that the Cyclone was located about 240 kilometers south west of Maharashtra on Friday morning by making steady travel towards hitting the shores. The forecasts had pictured that the coastal states of Arabian Sea will witness the wind speed of 110 kilometers per hour.
