Dhoni must cure this major worry: Will CSK pay SRH back to have a tenacious comeback?

In a must-win match, the Chennai Super Kings would be locking horn against the Sunrisers Hyderabad in Dubai International Stadium on Tuesday as they would be opening the second set of the season amid being levied with the challenges from the respective sides to have a resurgence and Dhoni's army is pushed to have a definite win and it has to win all the remaining matches to reserve the berth in the playoffs and to keep its pride.

The CSK has been answering the fans with back to back disappointments and upset through its flawed and unprecedently worst performances throughout the season. So far, the super kings had played seven matches and only managed to win two matches. With just four points when the series is half-way through, the CSK currently stands at the seventh spot of the points table with less sign of entering the playoffs.

The men in yellow had lost five matches including a hat-trick defeat and the team had shown that it is yet to fix the faltering batting line-up to have a tenacious revival for the rest of the season. Despite being one of the most successful teams in IPL history, the CSK would be heading into marking the worst record if it fails to act now and fix the damages and bring back its style and path of dominance.  If it exits the current season without entering the playoffs, it is the first time in its IPL history that it would be cleansed away without entering the playoffs.

Dhoni has seemingly been finding it difficult to repair the broken ship of the team with major damages from the batting lineup and if it loses the match today, it would be marking its double hat-trick defeat and it would also end the CSK's campaign to enter the playoffs. When it comes to batting, openers Shane Watson and Faf du Plessis have been in form while the middle order batsmen have been a major worry for a revival.

Batsmen like Ambati Rayudu, Kedar Jadhav, Ravindra Jadeja, and captain MS Dhoni have been finding it tough to build a winning momentum. Convincingly, the CSK's bowling line-up has been trying hard to restrict the opponent players from putting a high total on board. Sam Curran, Deepak Chahar, Shardul Thakur, and Karn Sharma have been contributing their best towards the team's victory. It's high time that the team must show up what it has got in the batting by putting and chasing high scores.

On the other hand, SRH has been getting fitted as the strongest team to compete with as it has been packed with legends and young talents. In the first match, SRH had registered an easy win against the CSK which would further ease the risers to take on the kings. At the current state, SRH had played seven matches of which it had won three matches and stands at fifth place. SRH has a strong batting line with David Warner, Jonny Bairstow, Kane Williamson, and Manish Pandey.

In the bowling line-up, though Bhuvneshwar Kumar had exited the season due to an injury, the SRH has been giving a tough challenge to the opponents through its pacers T Natarajan and Khaleel Ahmed and it also has spinner Rashid Khan, who would apply brakes to the CSK batting line-up, particularly to MS Dhoni. As both the teams are contesting for the second time in the season, CSK is in the position to pay back to SRH to have a strong comeback and it must come up with the new game plan against the failed one during its first match against SRH.

Some of the players to watch out for during the current match include David Warner, Deepak Chahar, Ambati Rayudu, Kane Williamson, and Rashid Khan as these players hold the key to change the direction of the match. The match would also witness some of the milestones as David Warner needs 19 runs to complete 5000 IPL runs while MS Dhoni requires one dismissal to complete 150 IPL dismissals. Kane Williamson is three sixes away from completing 50 IPL sixes for SRH and Faf du Plessis requires 54 runs to complete 2000 IPL runs for CSK.
