The wait is finally over for the fans of Chiyaan Vikram, as the second single from his upcoming spy thriller ‘Dhruva Natchathiram’ has been released after a gap of three years. The song, titled ‘His Name is John’, was launched by director Lokesh Kanagaraj on his social media handle today.

He took to Twitter on Wednesday, dropped the awaiting song, writing, "Somethings are just worth the wait! Thrilled to release the second single #HisNameIsJohn Can’t wait to see what @menongautham sir has managed to pull off for all of us in #DhruvaNatchathiram"

‘His Name is John’ is a mass number that showcases the stylish and suave avatar of Vikram as John, a New York-based undercover agent who is on a mission to rescue his team leader. The song is composed by Harris Jayaraj, who has reunited with director Gautham Vasudev Menon after a long time. The lyrics are penned by Thamarai, while the vocals are rendered by Benny Dayal and Christopher Stanley.

The song has received a positive response from the fans and music lovers, who have praised the catchy tune, the energetic vocals and the sleek visuals. The song also gives a glimpse of the action-packed sequences and the exotic locations that are expected to be seen in the film.

‘Dhruva Natchathiram’ is one of the most anticipated films of Vikram, who has been working on it since 2016. The film is said to be made on a grand scale, with shooting taking place in seven countries. The film also features a star-studded cast, including Ritu Varma, Aishwarya Rajesh, Raadhika Sarathkumar, R. Parthiban, Simran, Dhivyadharshini, Vinayakan and Arjun Das.

The film was initially announced with Suriya in the lead role in 2013, but was shelved due to creative differences between the actor and the director. Later, Menon revived the project with Vikram in 2016 and released the first single ‘Oru Manam’ in 2018. However, the film faced several delays due to financial issues and the COVID-19 pandemic.

The film is now expected to release soon, as the director has confirmed that the post-production work is nearing completion. The film is produced by Menon’s Ondraga Entertainment along with Kondaduvom Entertainment and Escape Artists Motion Pictures.
