That diehard Dhoni fan in TN, who painted his house yellow in love for CSK, dies by suicide...Here's what happened!

Taking the ardent fans of legendary cricketer MS Dhoni and Chennai Super Kings (CSK) aback, a fervent fan in Tamil Nadu, who turned his house yellow as a mark of love for CSK, has died by suicide at what has become a famous residence across the state. The fan named Gopi Krishna was a native of Cuddalore district and earned popularity over his extraordinary zealot for Dhoni and for the team. 

Gopi Krishna was a resident of Arankur village near Tittakudi in Cuddalore and he made headlines amidst a season of the Indian Premier League (IPL) when he painted his house yellow to showcase his love to the CSK team and to its skipper MS Dhoni. Gopi Krishna was a diehard fan of Dhoni and he was working in Dubai. He returned to his hometown in 2020 and decided to exquisitely design his home to dedicate his fandom to the legendary cricketer. 

In a unique stint, he went on to paint his house yellow, which is the colour of CSK team, and stamped the pictures of MS Dhoni and CSK's logo all around the wall. His residence quickly went viral on social media that it caught the eyes of Dhoni himself, who then extended gratitude to his fan and to his family. Furthermore, the current Minister of Sports Affairs of Tamil Nadu, Udhayanidhi Stalin visited Gopi Krishna's residence and appreciated his artwork. 

As his residence has become a talk of the town, it had received visitors from people of all walks of lives, including celebrities. The pictures of his residence were rampantly shared by the CSK fans on social media and lauded his masterpiece. Gopi Krishna's photo before his residence, that carried a welcome note 'Home of Dhoni fan' had become one of the viral photos of that year.

However, Gopi Krishna was found dead during the wee hours of Thursday - January 18 at his dream house. It has been reported that he had died of suicide as he was found hanging and while his demise had startled his family members, the incident was reported to the Ramanatham police officials. The police have recovered the mortal remain and sent it to the Tittakudi government hospital for further investigations. 

The police have launched a probe into his death and the preliminary investigations have revealed that he could have taken this extreme step owing to a financial feudatory with some of the people in his area. The relatives of the deceased told the police that Gopi Krishna had financial dispute, that got fueled while he was playing in his village during the Pongal holidays. It has been reported that some miscreants had attacked Gopi Krishna during that time due to which he took the extreme step of ending his life. Gopi Krishna was surviving with his wife and two sons. Shockingly, he celebrated the birth of third child ten days ago.
