"Dint expect so much love"... Raveena Ravi shares a heartfelt note for her role in Mamannan!

Raveena Ravi, the talented actress and voice artist, has won the hearts of the audience with her stunning performance in the recently released Tamil political thriller Maamannan. She played the role of Jyothi, the wife of Rathnavelu, a powerful politician and the antagonist of the film. Raveena’s portrayal of a strong-willed and compassionate woman who stands up to her abusive husband was widely appreciated by the critics and the fans alike.

Raveena took to her social media to express her gratitude for the overwhelming response she received for her role. She wrote, “My goodness! Dint expect so much love would pour in for this role ! Raveena, who is the daughter of veteran dubbing artist Sreeja Ravi, started her career as a voice-over artist for many leading actresses in Tamil and Malayalam cinema. She made her acting debut in 2016 with the Tamil film Oru Kidayin Karunai Manu, followed by other notable films like Rocky,Veeramae Vaagai Soodum   , and Love Today.

Raveena Ravi is one of the promising actresses in South Indian cinema who has proved her versatility and talent with her roles. She is also a talented voice artist who has lent her voice to many popular actresses like Keerthi Shetty, Trisha, Nayanthara, Raashi Kanna, and Amy Jackson. 

The political thriller Mamannan, was directed by Mari Selvaraj, who is known for his hard-hitting films that address social issues. The movie follows the rise and fall of a charismatic politician who faces various challenges and controversies in his career. The film also features a stellar ensemble cast that includes Udhayanidhi Stalin, Vadivelu, Fahadh Faasil and Keerthy Suresh. 

The film produced by Udhayanidhi Stalin, has music by the legendary A.R. Rahman. The film was released in theatres on June 29 and received positive reviews from critics and moviebuffs, especially for the never seen role from Vadivelu. After the film's streaming on Netflix from July 27, fans go crazy for Rathnavelu, who was played by Fahadh Faasil, in a twisting turn.
