DMK claims that TN govt top spot in governance is a reward for backing CAA!

While the ruling party of the state of Tamil Nadu ADMK has, on one hand, been welcoming and upholding the government's good governance that was recently revealed in the 'Governance Index' released by the Central government which ranked the state at first place, the state's opposition party, on Monday, cited that the top spot on the table is a reward by the Central government for the ADMK party that backed the BJP's controversial Citizenship Amendment Act.

The opposition party, which is one of the strongest critics of the CAA, stated that the Central BJP government has provided the ADMK government a top spot in the governance index after the ruling government had voted in favor of the bill in the Upper House of the Parliament that had let the bill through the lenient passage as the BJP lacks the halfway majority in Rajya Sabha.
