DMK functionary Stalin Jacob killed in road accident in Chennai: MK Stalin and leaders pay tribute!

DMK's functionary and photographer Stalin Jacob was killed in road accident in Chennai on Friday. He was 35 and celebrated his birthday on Thursday, the day before of his untimely demise. Stalin Jacob was active on social media and he had been sharing pictures of his meeting with the DMK leaders on his birthday. The leaders went aghast after learning about his death. 

Stalin Jacob was a member of DMK's social media cell and he was travelling with his friend Jeeva on Friday on a bike. When they reached Maraimalai Nagar Signal on GST Road, outskirts of Tambaram, Chennai, a speeding truck had collided on their bike and both of them had sustained severe injuries. The truck was travelling from Guduvancherry to Chengalpet and the incident had happened at around 3.45 pm on Friday.

The incident was reported to the police and the Guduvancherry traffic police had rushed to the spot and shifted Stalin Jacob and Jeeva to the Chengalpet Government Hospital. However, both of them had breathed their last during the night hours. While Stalin Jacob was 35, Jeeva was 28 years old and it has been reported that the former was returning to Chennai after attending a state government function in Chengalpet. 

He went to videograph the function. Stalin Jacob's mortal remains have been sent to his native Coimbatore from the Chengalpet Government Hospital. After learning about his demise, several DMK leaders have expressed shock and condolences to the bereaving family. Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin, DMK MPs including Kanimozhi and Tamilachi Thangapandian have paid their tribute to Stalin Jacob.

The leaders who extended their birthday greetings to Stalin Jacob on Thursday would ended up expressing condolences to his family on Friday. Besides being a prominent photographer, Stalin Jacob was also the co-founder of 'What a Karwad', which is cloud kitchen delivering seafood in Chennai.
