DMK MLA's son and daughter-in-law were killed in a fatal car accident in downtown Bangalore!

In a shocking piece of news, DMK MLA's son and daughter-in-law were killed in a fatal car accident that happened in the downtown area of Koramangala in Bangalore in the wee hours of Tuesday. The visuals captured by a CCTV camera, that was in proximity, had shown that the car had lost its control and rammed into the footpath. The incident took place on 80 feet road in Koramangala between 1 am to 2 am on Tuesday. 

According to reports, 28-year-old Karuna Sagar, the son of DMK MLA from Hosur Y Prakash, Karuna Sagar's wife Bindu were among the seven who were killed in a deadly accident. The other victims were identified as Ishita (21), Akshay Goyal (23), Dhanusha (21), Utsav (23), and Rohith (23). The car has been identified as Audi Q3 and the police say that two of the victims were from Kerala while one was from Karnataka. After losing control, the car had climbed onto the footpath before hitting a Punjab National Bank branch building. 

The visuals had shown that the car had rammed onto the footpath at a high velocity and the mishap was dreadful as six victims have died in the spot while one had died on the way to the hospital. Audugodi traffic police said that the airbags of the vehicle didn't open which caused fatal damage to all seven of them and three of them were seated in the front and the rest behind.

After hearing the boom, some of the locals had gathered at the spot and informed an ambulance following which it was rushed to the spot. The reports say that it took twenty minutes for the medical staff to take the bodies from the car. According to the police, some of the victims were staying in the paying guest accommodations and the preliminary investigation has revealed that none of them had worn seat belts while in the car and their bodies are kept at the mortuary of Saint John's Hospital in the city.

The police say that the car had initially crashed into a light pole on the footpath before hitting the Punjab National Bank branch building. After visiting the spot, Additional Commissioner for Traffic Ravikanthe Gowda said that the accident has happened due to negligence and rash driving and a probe will be conducted into the incident by a team led by the Assistant Commissioner of Police. 

It has been identified that the car was registered in the name of Sanjeevini Blue Metal Company and the investigation has begun to ascertain where the person, who was driving the car, was under the influence of alcohol. Several DMK leaders are expressing their condolences to DMK MLA Prakash as he has been grieving over the loss of his son and daughter-in-law.
