DMK's MK Stalin meets Chief Minister Palaniswami: Consoles the CM for his mother's demise!

DMK President and Tamil Nadu Opposition leader MK Stalin has, on Monday, met Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Edappadi Palaniswami at the latter's residence in Chennai to console him on his mother's demise. 

MK Stalin was accompanied by senior DMK leaders - party's General Secretary Duraimurugan and Deputy General Secretary Ponmudi and drove into the Chief Minister's residence in Chennai and they paid floral tribute to the Chief Minister's mother, who had passed away last week in Salem at the age of 93 due to age-related ailments. 

Stalin was received by the Chief Minister and some of the senior ministers following which he paid floral tribute to the portrait of the Chief Minister's mother. In what has become a surprise development, Stalin and Edappadi Palaniswami were seen sitting next to each other, and they were seen discussing. 

Stalin had consoled the Chief Minister for the loss. The official pictures were released by the DMK party. Taking to Twitter, DMK said, "Party president MK Stalin had paid floral tribute to the mother of the Chief Minister over her demise and he was accompanied by Duraimurugan and Ponmudi". 

 

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Edappadi Palaniswami's mother Thavusayammal had passed away on October 13 in Salem at the age of 93. She was getting treated for her age-related ailments in a private hospital in Salem and she breathed her last due to cardiac arrest. 

Earlier, several political leaders had expressed their condolences to the Chief Minister and his family for the loss. Thavusayammal was surviving by her two sons - Edappadi Palaniswami and Govindaraj and a daughter Vijayalakshmi.
