Suriya, the most versatile and popular actors in the tinseltown is all set to enthrall his fans with his upcoming magnum opus, Kanguva. The film, directed by Siruthai Siva, is a period action drama that spans two different timelines and showcases Suriya in five different avatars.
Now, fans can look forward to even more excitement thanks to the recent addition of a famous face to the film's ensemble.Several significant historical scenes are presently being filmed in Kodaikanal. According to recent reports, the film has cast B.S.Avinash, who was fearsome in the box office smash KGF, as the antagonist.
The title of the film, which was earlier referred to as Suriya 42, was revealed on April 16 with an intense teaser that gave a glimpse of the grandeur and spectacle of the film. Kanguva, which means a man with the power of fire played by Suriya’s, who is shown as a valiant warrior who fights for his people and his land.
The film also marks the Tamil debut of Bollywood actress Disha Patani, who plays the female lead opposite Suriya. The duo is expected to share a sizzling chemistry on screen. The film also boasts of a stellar star cast that includes Kovai Sarala, Yogi Babu, Anand Raj, Redin Kingsley, Ravi Raghavendra and others in supporting roles.
The film’s music is composed by Devi Sri Prasad, who has delivered some chartbusters for Suriya in the past. The cinematography is handled by Vetri Palanisamy, Kanguva is produced by K. E. Gnanavel Raja’s Studio Green, in association with UV Creations. The film is being shot in both 2D and 3D formats and will be released in 10 languages across India and worldwide. The film is slated to hit the screens in early 2024.
