Exciting Buzz: Udhayanidhi Stalin - Mari Selvaraj's Mamannan to have the trailer and audio launch on this date!

Mamannan has generated a lot of curiosity and hype among the fans and critics alike, as it marks the comeback of Vadivelu after a long hiatus, the debut of Fahadh Faasil in Tamil cinema, and the last film of Udhayanidhi Stalin before as he shifted his focus completely to politics and became the state minister. The film also features a cameo appearance by director Mysskin, who is a close friend of Mari Selvaraj.

Now the tinseltown is buzzing with excitement as the trailer and audio launch of Maamannan, the most awaited political thriller of 2023, is set to happen on June 1st. The film, written and directed by Mari Selvaraj, the acclaimed filmmaker of Pariyerum Perumal and Karnan, boasts of a stellar star cast that includes Udhayanidhi Stalin, Fahadh Faasil, Keerthy Suresh, and Vadivelu.

The music is composed by none other than the Oscar-winning legend A.R. Rahman, who has collaborated with Mari Selvaraj for the first time. Maamannan is a story that revolves around the life of politicians, power, and corruption. Udhayanidhi Stalin plays Raasa Kaanu, a young and ambitious politician who challenges the ruthless Perumal Swamy, played by Fahadh Faasil, the reigning kingmaker of Tamil Nadu politics.

Keerthy Suresh plays Samba, Raasa’s love interest and a journalist who exposes the dark secrets of Perumal Swamy. Vadivelu plays Maamannan, Raasa’s father and a veteran MLA who has a comic yet crucial role in the film.

The first single ‘Raasa Kannu’, sung by Vadivelu, and the second single , sung by the Isai Puyal which was released today  and became an instant addictive hit among the masses. The song, composed by A.R. Rahman and penned by Yugabharathi, is a catchy and energetic numbers.

The film is produced by Udhayanidhi Stalin under his banner Red Giant Movies and will be distributed by Kalaignar TV. The film will also be available for streaming on Netflix as a post-theatrical release in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada languages.
