Exactly one day after Cinematic Superstar and Tamil Nadu's political hopeful Rajinikanth's notion of claiming that there is a vacuum for strong leadership in the state, the state's top political parties ADMK and DMK have united in this regard of voicing against the claim made by the actor.
While the ruling ADMK has rebutted the claim by symbolizing its victories in two byelections in the state, the opposition party DMK has proclaimed that the vacuum has already been filled by the party's president and opposition leader M K Stalin. The DMK party further accused the actor of asserting the statements without knowing that the void place had been filled.

The Chief Minister and ADMK party's joint coordinator Edappadi Palaniswami had reacted strongly to the actor's claim by citing that the party's candidate Muthamizhselvan has won in Vikkravandi constituency with the margin of 45,000 votes along with the support of the allied parties. He also pictured the victory in Nanguneri constituency as the party's justification that there is no vacuum in the state for strong leadership.

Speaking to the reporters about the stand of DMK, the party's senior leader and treasurer Durai Murugan had claimed that the vacuum has already been filled by party's president M K Stalin and added that Rajinikanth could be aware of these developments if he was in politics at this time but he has been under series of movie shootings which had kept him far from the state's political affairs.

On Friday while addressing the reporters in his Chennai residence, Actor Rajinikanth said that there have been series of attempts to saffronize him like Thiruvalluvar and claimed that neither him or Thiruvalluvar would be trapped under the saffron nets. While questioned about his BJP stand, he denied the allegations that he would join the Bharatiya Janata Party and further added that there is a vacuum for the right personality and leadership to rule Tamil Nadu.
