Filmophiles are getting ready for the second single: Ponniyin Selvan Makers reveal

As the premiere of Mani Ratnam's groundbreaking film Ponniyin Selvan pathways, moviegoers can take a gander forward to second single, "Chola Chola," on Friday, August 19. The movie, which was Kollywood's then-unrealized dream, will now officially be released in theatres on September 30, 2022.

Nearly one month prior to the release, the producers had already released the first single, 'Ponni Nadhi' and had already seen the grand reception and even got marvelous attention after the making video of the single. The makers team, Lyca Producions, recently announced the release of a second single on their social media platforms, anticipating the Ponniyin Selvan fans. Taking to Twitter, Lyc Productions wrote, "Swords high! Spirits higher!! #CholaChola the next single from #PS1 releasing tomorrow at 6PM! "

The song will presumably entail actor Vikram, who plays Aditya Karigalan, the brother of Arulmozhi Varman, played by Jayam Ravi, and Kundavai, played by Trisha, will storm into fans' playlist by Friday evening at 6 o'clock, as reported. Earlier, it was disclosed by kollywood sources that the state chief minister M. K. Stalin would present the historic periodic drama's trailer at its premiere on September 6.

The film will be released in Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, and Kannada. Mani Ratnam's magnum opus is based on Kalki's origin Tamil novel, which was serialized in the 1950s and has enjoyed phenomenal success ever since. Ponniyin Selvan, an action-packed tale set in the tenth century, follows the power struggles between factions within the Chola empire.

The movie was successful in assembling an ensemble cast that would become a noteworthy combination of our favourite actors. There will be significant roles for Vikram, Jayam Ravi, Karthi, Aishwarya Rai, Trisha, Jayaram, Aishwarya Lekshmi, Ashwin, Sarathkumar, Parthiban, Prabhu, Prakash Raj, Rahman, Nizhalgal Ravi, Vijayakumar, Nassar, and Balaji Sakthivel. Interestingly, the music was created by AR Rahman composed the music while Kabilan and Venba Geethayan penned the lyrics for the songs and Jayamohan has written the dialogues.
