Dhruva Natchathiram, the much-awaited spy thriller directed by Gautham Menon, is finally set to hit the screens in February 2024. The film, which has been in the making for over six years, promises to be a gripping tale of espionage, action, and drama.

The film has faced several hurdles and delays in its production, due to various reasons. The most recent one was a legal dispute between Gautham Menon and All In Pictures, who had filed a case against the director for allegedly not completing a film and not returning the money they had invested. The case was heard by the High Court, which had ordered that the film could be released only if the money was returned.

However, the money was not returned, and the film’s release was stalled. The case came up for hearing again today, before Justice Saravanan. The lawyer representing Gautham Menon requested that the case be adjourned for three weeks, as the film is scheduled to release in February. The judge agreed to the request, and adjourned the case for three weeks.

The film follows John, a covert operative who leads an elite team of professionals known as “The Basement”. They are tasked with finding and eliminating a mysterious enemy who threatens to expose their secrets and destroy their lives. The film takes the viewers on a thrilling journey across various countries and locations, as John and his team race against time to stop the enemy.

The film boasts of a stellar cast, led by Chiyaan Vikram, who plays the role of John. He is joined by Ritu Varma, Radhakrishnan Parthiban, R Radikaa Sarathkumar, Simran, Vinayakan, Divya Dharshini, Munna Simon, Vamsi Krishna, Salim Baig, Sathish Krishnan, and Maya S Krishnan, among others.

The film also features a talented crew, with cinematography by Manoj Paramahamsa, SR Kathir ISC, and Vishnu Dev, music by Harris Jayaraj, editing by Praveen Antony, production design by Rajeevan, and art direction by Kumar Gangappan.

Dhruva Natchathiram: Chapter One – Yuddha Kaandam is the first part of a trilogy, and the makers have announced that the second and third parts will be released soon after the first one. The film is slated to release on February 16, 2024, and will be distributed by Lyca Productions.
