Finally, Donald Trump bows down...accepts defeat as US Congress certifies Biden's victory!

Finally, Donald Trump has conceded his defeat in the elections and said that there will be an orderly transfer of power to Joe Biden on January 20. Trump has brought the episodes of his political drama to an end after the US Congress has officially certified Biden's victory in the presidential polls.

Trump's assertion has come after he was left with no constitutional support to withstand his fictitious claims and direct assault on the democratic process as Biden's victory was officially certified by the Electoral College and the chambers of the US Congress. Despite the defeat, Trump unleashed the episodes of controversial and violent efforts in his drama to overturn the election results by alleging that the elections had the grouds of widespread voter fraud, but he didn't have any evidence to prove his allegations.

With all his allegations had gone vain, Donald Trump had finally conceded to Joe Biden on Thursday. Trump has accepted his defeat to Joe Biden and said that there will be an orderly transfer of power to the President-elect on January 20. Trump's statement of accepting the defeat has come minutes after a Joint Session of the US Congress had formally certified the Electoral College victory of Biden as the next US President and Kamala Harris as the Vice President in the November 3 election.

In his statement, Trump said, "Even though I totally disagree with the outcome of the election, and the facts bear me out, nevertheless, there will be an orderly transition on January 20th". While responding to the certification of Biden's victory by Congress, Trump said that the certification represents the end of the greatest first term in presidential history. According to reports, US Congress has certified that Joe Biden has secured 306 Electoral College votes, 36 votes more than the majority mark of 270.

With the official certification, Joe Biden will be sworn in as the President of the United States on January 20 so is Kamala Harris as the Vice-President. Trump's assertion of accepting the defeat has also come at a high time when the crucial Senate races in Georgia had favored for Joe Biden. The US Congress had officially certified Biden's victory amid bracing up the unprecedented riots carried out by the Trump supporters in their bid to block the Congress from certifying Biden's victory.

In what has become the darkest day in American history, thousands of Trump supporters had gathered before US Capitol Hill after they were called by the President himself. He incited them to march and fight against what he claimed as the stolen election. His supporters had vandalized and sieged the Congress building with many breaking the doors and windows. In the wake of the riots, the chambers were brought under lockdown and the lawmakers were evacuated to safe locations.

The riots had killed four including a woman and injured dozens and they had lasted for four hours and the protesters. The rioters had breached the curfew and security and entered the chambers and broken the glasses after they were armed by Trump's instigation. The heavily armed police personnel had dispersed and removed from the grounds of Capitol Hill and following the mitigation of riots, the chambers got re-convened and began the process of certifying Biden's victory.

After the storm, the House of Representatives and the Senate had officially certified Biden's victory while the riots had become one of the black marks in Trump's presidency. Former US Presidents had staunchly slammed the President after inciting the mob to attack the iconic symbol of the US democracy. The unprecedented riots had also drawn global attention with many world leaders had urged President Trump to exercise his duties of orderly transfer of power to the President-elect.

After drawing a global objection and the official certification from Congress on Biden's victory, Donald Trump has finally bowed down and accepted the defeat on Thursday and asserted that there will be an orderly transfer of power to Joe Biden on January 20. Trump is just two weeks away from vacating the office and for the past two months, he had used all the possible ways from initiating a legal battle to instigating the violent mob to somehow overturn the election results and to stop Biden from taking over the presidency.

However, all of his efforts have gone vain with the US Congress officially certifying Biden's victory. Being left with no constitutional support as most of the Republican lawmakers had voiced against him over inciting the attack, Trump has bowed down and prepares to leave the office by giving the presidency to the former Vice President. Trump will be leaving office by becoming the first president since 1932 to lose the re-election, the House, and the Senate.
