Finally, Udhayanidhi Stalin opens up...Here's why he is not desiring to be a minister!

Amid growing voices within the DMK that MK Stalin's son and DMK MLA Udhayanidhi Stalin must to elevated as a minister in Tamil Nadu, he has finally opened up over such notions and ruled out his desire of becoming a minister. His announcement has come when he has been gearing up for the campaign for the upcoming urban local body polls in the state.

Udhayanidhi Stalin, who is DMK's Youth Wing Secretary and MLA from the Chepauk- Triplicane constituency, was addressing the DMK workers on Sunday in Coimbatore. The event was organized to launch the party's membership drive and he has asserted that he wanted to serve as a bridge between the Chief Minister and people. He had dropped his remarks as the response to DMK leaders Senthil Balaji and Pongalur Palaniswami, who had said at the same event that Udhayanidhi should soon become the Deputy Chief Minister or at least a minister.

However, Stalin junior has said he is not keen on becoming a minister. He said, "Pongalur Palaniswami and Senthil Balaji said I should become a minister. But I don't have such desires. All I want is to serve people always, be one among you as a DMK worker and discharge my duty to serve the masses." He further said, "I want to stand alongside you and work for the party till the end. I want to support you in serving the people and serving Thalaivar (MK Stalin). I want to act as a bridge between you and Thalaivar."

In recent times, DMK has been surfaced with demands and appeals from the leaders, who advocated for Udhayanidhi Stalin in elevating him to his father's cabinet. There have been speculations that he will be inducted as the minister during May - June next year when the DMK regime finishes its first year of rule in the state. Udhayanidhi's friend Anbil Mahesh Poyyamozhi, who is Tamil Nadu's Minister for School Education, has pioneered the campaign for elevating Udhayanidhi as a minister.

Anbil Mahesh Poyyamozhi has been expressing that its desire of every people that Udhayanidhi Stalin should become the minister as his dedication to serving the people shouldn't get contained to a particular constituency but it should spread across the state. Recently, a Congress leader in Tamil Nadu wrote to MK Stalin and asked him to make Udhayanidhi Stalin the Deputy Chief Minister of the state.

There were talks that Udhayanidhi Stalin may be inducted into the cabinet after the urban local body polls and splitting the top portfolios was being in consideration to award him a key portfolio. Though there hasn't been a word from MK Stalin over such voices in the party, Udhayanidhi Stalin had finally opened up on Sunday and asserted that he is not keen on becoming a minister and that he wants to act as a bridge between the people and his father, Chief Minister MK Stalin.
